Ascent Trip ReportI followed a blue access road/trail up from Bay Road, which eventually hooked me up with the Metacomet-Monadnock Trail. I followed the M-M trail up to Mt. Norwottock, enjoying fine views once there. There are also some interesting rock formations along the steep eastern slopes of Norwottock, which you will see when approaching along the M-M Trail from that side. It was a fun climb up the east side of the mountain, with the trail passing through a cave-like feature at one point, forcing me to pass through a narrow passage between massive rocks. |
