Ascent Trip Report

Roberta and Jay were visiting from Colorado and wanted a spectacular Washington hike. I could think of no more spectacular place than Mt. Rainier National Park, and with the great trails around Sunrise decided to take them there. We first hiked up to Frozen Lake, then took the trail up onto Burroughs Mountain. Got to the middle summit, then headed back down and took the loop trail south of the Burroughs ridge to Emmons Overlook, then back to the car past Shadow Lake.
