Ascent Trip ReportHad no issues finding the trailhead, all roads were well marked. Roughly 2 to 3 feet of snow on the ground but the trail was mildly packed down; opted to leave the snowshoes in the car, which we later regretted as we postholed often (sometimes past the knee). Steady and steep for the entire hike. Overcast skies limited long-range visibility, but we could catch glimpses of the high peaks every once in a while. Fire tower on summit was well maintained and offered great views, despite the cloud cover. |
