Ascent Trip Report

Fantastic hike! We did this one a bit differently and included the 2 peaks (~3250' and 2850') and a walk around Crane pond. There are three areas around Crane Pond where you can take in a nice view - the main summit, a lower ledge summit north of the pond (no trail but an easy walk along deer trails) and a smaller summit NNW of the main summit. We decided the day was so nice that we would wander around all three which led to a beautiful 7 mile RT loop. This is a great hike for anyone who wants to see what a high peak trail might feel like but wants to keep it short. The trail is fairly steep and rocky with some fun ladders and a fantastic view.
