Ascent Trip Report

This was a decent hike through some sandy washes up to the summit. We probably would not have made the summit without GPS. All of the washes, ridges, and peaks look the same and the vegetation is thick making it difficult to find the high point. There were endless animal paths and piles of cow shit throughout the washes, we even saw one cow up on a slope looking down at us. There were a couple of steep sections but otherwise the hike was pretty standard. While resting on the summit, a hiker and his dog came out of nowhere and scared the hell out of us. He said he jogged up from the west side and that the access road from the west isn't as bad as everyone says.
