|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||4560 ft / 1389 m|
Ascent Trip ReportFollowed Mount Si trail to the base of the Haystack then turned east. At the intersection with the Mount Si Upper Connector Trail I followed footprint from the ascent earlier this week to the summit. Not having been here before, I'm not sure if there is an actual trail here or not but I have mapped it and submitted it to the Northwest Trails Project for future publication and the GPX is attached.
Microspikes or the equivalent are beneficial from about the 3 mile mark on the main trail to the base of the Haystack. Beyond that it was just soft snow but not deep enough that snowshoes would have been particularly beneficial.
