Ascent Trip ReportI left I-40 at exit 7, went south, and turned left onto Pendleton Road. This soon loses its pavement and becomes Camp Rock Road - an excellent, well-maintained gravel surface. At the junction with Troy Road at the mapped BMIWBC 3976, continuing straight takes you on a short section of less well maintained road, or turning right for almost a mile and then left takes you on better maintained road, in either case bringing you to just south of BM2WB6(?) at 4140. Continue on the main road east, passing the spur to the Rodman Mountains HP (and P2K) to the height of land at mapped 5101 AT. Here is the only place I used 4WD, to climb the bank to park off the road. A passenger car should be able to reach the height of land in dry conditions.
The hike is trivial. My GPS track goes both sides of the immediate bump; the east side was slightly easier terrain.
