Ascent Trip Report

Parked at Hogpen Gap on Highway 348. 7.2 mile round trip on the AT bagging 4 peaks. 2 of the peaks were crossed by the trail, 1 was only 10 yards off, and the remaining 1 was 25 yards off. Of the four (Wildcat-North, Cowrock, Wolf Laurel, and Rock Spring), Cowrock definitely had the best views - mostly to the south. A very cold day for Georgia with temps in the low 40's and a stiff wind most of the time. Saw 9 hikers and 2 ice climbers.
