Ascent Trip Report

Started at the water tower near the end of Peach Street, just off Cedar Avenue. We choose the shortest route to the top which was definitely a steep route. About halfway up we found the trail ended and we needed to blaze our own. Some scrambling was required but nothing treacherous. We spent a few minutes at the top before talking a more gingerly, but longer path back to the trailhead. We found choosing the right route and with the right vehicle, one can drive most the way to the top. There were 4 wheeler tracks at the summit as well as horse and other critter tracks. We stopped at the cross near the top and then looked for the geocache which was the reason for the ascent. Not a tall mountain but fun just the same.
