Ascent Trip ReportThis peak has changed dramatically since the Camarillo Springs fire last summer. It completely burned over. I started on the Park View Trail at the north end of Dos Vientos Park. There is unburned chaparral between the trail head and where the trail crosses Via Ricardo. From there all the way to the top, pretty much nothing remains from the fire. Of course, regrowth has started but it will be a long time before brush becomes a problem. I followed the fire road to where it tops out, and then turned west (left) along a use trail easy to follow if sometimes vague and sometimes steep over a subpeak, across a saddle and up to the top, where there is an American flag. Spectacular views, as this is the high point of a pretty big area.
