Ascent Trip Report

The Prow was the goal, but we got rained off the approach with horrible lightening strikes all around us. The wx pattern had been for rain starting in the AM and going all day long, so we knew this try was sketchy at best. The mosquitos harassed us relentlessly on the approach .5 mile after starting up the trail. Dean was choking and coughing them up. This is no joke, they were the worst by far that I have ever experienced. Bring a head net if you go that time of year, or plan to use the mosquitos as extra protein snacks along the approach.
