Ascent Trip Report

Set out on a warm November day. Weather was in the 50s and I drove from North Conway to the Starr King trailhead. It was about an hour drive from North Conway. Left the trailhead at 11:50am. Passed 12 hikers (6 groups) on the way to Mt. Waumbek. Passed 1 hiker on my return trip to the trail head. The hike was gradual and not to difficult. The leaves and wet trail made it slippery and questionable in areas. There were a few downed trees across the trail which required some circumventing. The round well(?) as well as the fireplace on top of Starr King added to the trip. Some southerly views were available from Starr King, but it was overcast in the distant and the peaks were covered. Generally a good hike. Round trip was 7.2 miles and completed hike in 3 hours and 15 minutes.
