Ascent Trip ReportI don't think they were as strict about hiking the tundra when I was a teenager. I feel a bit guilty about following those "trails" now, 20 years later, but I did flush my first ptarmigan in this area! Easy to get winded if you're not used to high elevations and push yourself even the slightest bit.
Haven't seen one since - less a matter of karma than persistently living in low elevation locales where you'd never find them. |
