Ascent of Mount Bond on 2013-09-20
|Date:||Friday, September 20, 2013|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Location:||USA-New Hampshire|
| Elevation:||4698 ft / 1431 m|
Ascent Trip ReportI took the Zealand Trail, Twinway, and Bondcliff Trails over Mt. Guyot, Mt. Bond, and turned around once I reached Bondcliff. I reversed the route back to my starting point. I also made short side trips to Mt. Zealand, Guyot Campsite and West Bond. Total distance was about 20 miles.
It was a beautiful day to be in the mountains, and I enjoyed the best aspects of summer and fall hiking, without any of the negatives. It was pleasantly warm and sunny all day, with low humidity, dry trails, no bugs, and changing foliage at lower elevations. Definitely a great day for the Bonds.
