Ascent Trip Report

We hiked into Minnie Scott Spring and camped amongst the throngs of PCT'ers. Predawn start, hiked around the Collier Cone to the east, then immediately gained the ridge and started our ascent. Pretty routine volcano scree and boulders up to 9700 feet where we reached the base of the Glisan Pinnacle. There are multiple routes from here, some more obvious than others. We chose to access the high ledge at the base of the Prouty Pinnacle and worked our way across to a muddy/icy chute. Once through there we were at the bowling alley and shortly thereafter on the summit. Nice weather, almost no smoke, a nice climb with a good group.
