Ascent Trip ReportAfter visiting Slate Mountain I continued north on Sand Mountain Rd to join the Wentworth Springs Rd and to follow it west past the community of Quintette to the Bald Mountain ATV area. A signed dirt road proceeds in 2 miles past a couple of intersections (ignore) to Bald Mountain summit and the Bald Mountain L.O. I parked at the locked cable gate and walked the remaining 1/8 mile or so. Access to the L.O. was blocked bu a link-fence enclosure. I noted two USGS benchmarks and concrete support for a previous structure.
