Ascent Trip Report

***Sierra Club Outing***
led by Mat Kelliher, Jim Fleming

Trip consisted of both Boundary & Montgomery Peaks, and 16 people started out on this one. All but one made both peaks. Route was via DPS Route C. Extremely steep; on very obvious use trail to Boundary, the use trail became vague continuing on to Montgomery, but the route is obvious down and then up the narrow ridge connecting the two peaks. From Boundary to Montogomery the going was very rugged; it took us 1.5 hrs to travel the 0.6 miles (700' gain each way)from one peak to the other. Very pretty country and spectacular views.

Mileage and gain includes both peaks
