Ascent Trip ReportThis point is not nearly as easy as it looks from the topo map. My roommate from college, Ken, and I left the Lock Vale Trail when we were directly south of the summit and climbed a steep slope to the west side of the east knob. There is a small saddle here that is not shown on the topo, but this is where the climb really begins. It was Class 3 and some easy Class 4 climbing with a lot of route finding to the top of Glacier Knobs (east). The summit was surprisingly large and flat with two cairns and great views in all directions. We descended the west side of the knob back to the Loch Vale Trail, which was mostly Class 3. Don't bring a "green" climber on this highpoint unless you have a rope or you know they are very capable on rock with moderate exposure.
