Ascent Trip ReportThis was the last named county highpoint that I had left to do in Missouri. The only reasonable access is from the south, but my son, Marshall, and I reached a locked gate and no one appeared to be home at the residence located just on the other side. We talked to two different people nearby who both said the man who lives there is "strange," however, one of those individuals allowed us to park in their driveway, so we could make a quick dash to the summit. The climb is easy in the beginning after the gate, but it soon reaches an overgrown power line right of way. When the right of way levels off, the highpoint is located a few dozen feet to the east in some thick vegetation and poison ivy. No views were possible from the summit due to the vegetation.
