Ascent of Middle Teton on 2013-07-09Others in Party: | Joshua Liebold
| Date: | Tuesday, July 9, 2013 | Ascent Type: | Unsuccessful - Turned Back | Peak: | Middle Teton | Location: | USA-Wyoming | Elevation: | 9644 ft / 2939 m |
Ascent Trip ReportI would definitely do this as an overnight trip. We set out at 7AM. Once you arrive at The Meadows you still have a couple thousand more feet of ascent. The boulder field is a treat in itself and then you will need to find your route through the rocks. There are numerous rock cairns along the way to help. We made it to 9644FT at 1PM and realized we would not get to the top until around 7PM. We turned back, planning our return as an overnight expedition next year. |
