Ascent Trip ReportMy first hike with the Atlanta Outdoor Club! The trip itself was from Dick's Creek Gap to Addis Gap and back on the AT, but that skirts right by Double Spring, so I made sure I was way ahead of the group on the ascent from Addis and booked it through the underbrush to the top of the knob. Not a good summit especially when combined with low visibility. The south side seemed to be a better, more gradual way to get up to the top with less crap to push through. |
