Ascent Trip ReportTackled the 3 Sewards today with my hiking buddy David. We took the trail up to Donaldson first and since it has been raining for the last two months straight it seems, the trail was very muddy and washed out in spots. We still made good time but were soaked by the time we got to the summit. No views due to low clouds and the threat of rain. Headed over to Emmons and by the time we got there the clouds had lifted and we got some great views. Back over to Don where we now had views there too. On to Seward with knee deep mud and water greeting us all the way. Black flies were evil on Seward and views were limited so we packed up and headed home. Down to Blueberry lean-to and out to complete the loop. Ten and one half hours. #38 Donaldson, #39 Emmons, #40 Seward. I'm officially a 40'r!
