Ascent Trip ReportShort hike on this one with the distance to the summit being only 1.2 miles. Trail at the beginning was a bit tougher than I remember, but after passing the remains of the cabin (about 2/3 of the way up) the climb becomes pretty easy. Fire tower's in pretty good condition, but the cabin on the tower was locked. Some nice views of some of the High Peaks, but what I really enjoyed was the clear view of Lake Champlain to the east. |
