Ascent Trip Report

Long day off the Angeles Crest Highway - total trip was 23+ miles - started at Islip, and then headed to Middle, Sadie, South, and then Hawkins Peak. Rounded it out with Throop, Burnham, and Baden-Powell. Bear reported on South Hawkins, but we didn't see it (boo!). Total moving time was 9-ish hours.... definitely felt the altitude and the ups, as we approached each peak from the north off the PCT. It would have been easier to bag them had we stayed on the PCT and looped back OR made our way to Baden-Powell first and then picked them off on the way back. However - we don't go for the easy way, and this made the hike all the more epic. Fun day in the Angeles National Forrest!
