Ascent Trip ReportBob Bald is a subpeak of Stratton Bald in the Unicoi Mountains of North Carolina. The bald area is characteristic of an Appalachian grassy bald, with very thick grass and only the occasional tree. There is an excellent view of the Unicoi crest to the south. There were several makeshift campsites in the bald area, and one just inside the forest going toward Stratton's summit.
Bob Bald is appx. 3-4 miles from Beech Gap, along the Cherohala Skyway.
