Ascent of Mount Frissell on 2013-05-03
|Date:||Friday, May 3, 2013|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||2451 ft / 747 m|
Ascent Trip ReportI followed the trail west from the parking area near the MA/CT state line. I went over Round Mountain on my way to the Mt. Frissell summit, and then downhill to the CT state high point. I continued westbound, passing the NY/MA/CT tri-state marker, and then on to the Taconic Crest Trail, which I followed out-and-back to the three peaks of Brace Mountain. For my descent, I took a trail that begins in between the north and central Brace peaks, following it toward the southeast until it came out on Mt. Washington Road. From there, I took the road north back toward my starting point. I added on Bear Mountain, which I'll describe in a separate report.
