| Elevation:||8446 ft / 2574 m|
Ascent Trip ReportI used Dennis Poulin's trip report from this site (http://www.peakbagger.com/climber/ascent.aspx?aid=283431). On the drive, if coming from the north the road you want is perhaps 150 yards north of where the signed road to Fish Creek Basin heads west; you don't have to go all the way to the rest area to start your measurement.
I was able to drag my 4Runner farther up the road than Dennis chose to. I had to roll a number of rocks out of my way.
It might be possible to drive farther, and hike the north ridge all the way. I didn't like the look of the road beyond where I parked (see my GPS track) but I suspect I could have driven it if I'd chosen to.
The hike was mostly a case of picking my way through the brush down low.
