Ascent Trip Report

Combined with Manzano peak. Hiked up the Ox canyon trail. Dropped 1000 ft from the ridge. Did this hike old school as I forgot the GPS. The cairn is along the ridge as shown on the map. It is about 8' south of the trail. The usual cans painted red are rust brown now. One party signed in in 2012, and we were the first this year. Saw some turkey and a couple of deer. One other group on the trail today. The total hike is about 15 miles. The roads were good and a car could drive to the trailhead. Donnie Kona and Ticker made the hike with me.
