Ascent Trip Report

Hiked in a loop with Dickey Mountain. Bluebird day. Got onto the trail at 10AM. The first mile is easy going through the forest up to a ledge with beautiful views of the Tripyramids, Whiteface & Passaconaway. Continuing onto the summit over steep flat ledge gives great views of Moosilauke, Gunstock as well as peaks further west. The hike to the summit had some black ice making travel along the ledge somewhat difficult. The summit of Dickey gives fine views all the way up to the Franconia Range and Cannon. Great views for the effort. All travel above the ledge line is quite exposed and not good traveling during slippery conditions.
