Ascent Trip Report3-peak hike with the Angeles Sierra Club. This was the first and was followed by Monument and Garnet. First half of the trail was all gentle downhill. We saw a few mountain bikers doing trail maintenance - they were great! WE shimmied under a barbed wire gate after 2 miles. A duck on the right was our indication to start up to the peak. There was a brushy - but groomed - trail heading up to the peak. Final 3/4 mile was steep, and cut directly through the manzanita. MANY THANKS to whomever trimmed it - it would be a beast to go up otherwise. There was a massive carin at the first false summit on the left. Survery marker/bench mark was there as well. Actual summit is a few hundred feet further on the right. Great views!
