Ascent Trip Report

This was my most pathetic attempt to climb a mountain. There were three of us and I borrowed some mountaineering boots for the climb. No more than five minutes away from the car we had to cross a river. The second the boots touched the river freezing cold water filled them. I knew right then that I couldn't continue for very long without getting frostbite on my feet since it was in the negatives. Immediately after, one of my partners tried to throw his backpack across the river but didn't even make it close to the other side so his backpack would be a block of ice. We just sucked up our pride and went back to the car.
