Ascent Trip ReportArranged trip with RMI Guides.
I arrived 2 days early to help with the jet lag. I staged/stayed at the Dik Dik Hotel prior and after the mountain; which is located on the lower slopes of Mt. Meru. Get place to stay. Climbed the Machame Route with camps at Machame, Shira, Barranco, Karanga, Barufu, Mweka. Summit day was cold with moderate to high gusty winds. Awesome trip...hope to do it again someday. |
