Ascent Trip Report

The tip in the previous Trip Report by Ricahrd O. to park at the Taco Bell fast food place was good. I parked there and walked up to the front gate and read the historic plaque. Walked on down and around the facility and down to the soccer field behind it to get a nice photo and get a better feel for this very interesting architectural feature designed to hide the 4 municipal water tanks. The grass was wet and slippery and steep doing down the ravine past the radio tower but I like the photo angles to document the journey.

I like the way the City groomed the grounds around the facility so that it could act as an urban park. Worth checking out. I was, of course, the only person walking around in the rain in the early morning to enjoy and then off to my 9:00 AM meeting at the local office.
