Ascent Trip ReportI dropped down on Cave Ridge from the Snow Dome after hitting Snoqualmie Mountain Summit. Other than a few tricky boulder fields there are quite a few decent boot trails on eastern Snoqualmie, as well as Cave Ridge. I noticed something shiny on the eastern peak of Cave Ridge from Snoqualmie but on the way to get a closer look I got distracted filtering water for myself and Maverick at a small pond just below it, and headed to the summit only to learn when I returned home that it was a phone booth that someone hauled up as an art piece.
There is an excellent selection of camping spots on the ridge, and at least three entrances to some caves. There is plenty of exploring to draw me back here in the future. On to Guye Peak! |
