Ascent Trip Report

After seeing this peak and looking at its formidable stature I got together two partners to climb it. At first our plan was to climb the North Face Route but our plan fell through when we realized how chossy and loose the rock was. We hiked in the seven miles and camped at a lake close to the bottom. The next day we planned on an alpine start but didnt end up going until much later at around 8 because of weather. Once we finally left we ran to make up for lost time. We had some trouble finding the Solo Flight route but it is actually pretty obvious if you just keep going back behind the peak and follow the carins. At about 11100 feet one of the members of the group was very tired because of the pace and the other member wanted to get down because he had something to do. Not wanting to hold up both of my friends I decided we should just turn around and do it another day.
