Ascent Trip ReportDrove USFS 016 to 1610 to 021. Parked as indicated on GPS track - a large log on the road prevented further driving about 100 yards beyond this point. Note that 1610 and 021 are being overgrown by (mostly) alders - you *will* scrape your vehicle against them for miles if you drive as far as I did. I don't know how many years are left for driving this road, but it appears that enough people with saws drive it to keep it open to this date. If you love your vehicle and paint job, plan to walk from near the USFS boundary at around 1800'. I believe you could get where I did without 4WD, although I used it for extra safety. High clearance is necessary in a few spots.
Steep x-c to ridge, then easy walk to top.
