Ascent Trip ReportStarted at the ADK Loj parking area at 7:00 AM. Took the trail to Marcy Dam and followed the Van Hovenberg Trail to the summit of Mt Marcy. Hiked down to Four Corners. Ascended to the summit of Mt Skylight and back. Finished by hiking past Lake Colden and through the Avalanche Pass back to Marcy Dam. Continued back to the cars at the ADK Loj arriving at 7 pm. Round trip was 18.9 miles.
Note: The ravine that flows into Lake Colden was where we cliff jumped during the Spruce Lake backpacking trip. |
