Ascent Trip ReportThis 10.8-mile drive between NV 207 and U.S. 50 included visits to Genoa Peak (my second) and Snow Camp Peak. I drove up NV 207 from U.S. 50 toward Daggett Pass, turning off at N. Benjamin Dr, following it and then Andria Dr through a residential area about 1.8 miles to the end of the paved road and start of the 4WD Genoa Peak Rd, FSR 14N32. After 4.5 miles an unsigned spur heads to the right uphill to Genoa Peak. About a mile or so north of this junction I parked just before the road started downhill and walked no more than 1/4 mile over the open sagebrush area to the rocky outcrop summit of Snow Camp Peak. No register. I then continued the drive to the U.S. 50/NV 28 intersection. The last 2.6 miles of oad is paved after crossing the Tahoe Rim Tr. |
