Ascent Trip Report

Henry Peak and Bull Run Peak in combination provide a very enjoyable day's hike from Pacific Valley Campground off CA 4 just below Pacific Grade. From the Campground, follow the Pacific Valley Trail 1.5 miles to the Bull Run Creek Tr, then ascend on it 1.7 miles to a granitic saddle between Bull Run and Henry Peaks at the northern edge of the Carson-Iceberg Wilderness. From the saddle it is a straightforward X-C hike up the forested ridge to Henry Peak's open summit. Familiar names in the register were those of Pete Yamagata (1991),Gordon MacLeod and Barbara Lilley (6-27-92), and Tom Rountree from Minden, NV. and the Mt. Tamalpais Hiking Club
