Time: 4 Sep 06, 1:10 round trip.

Start: from NNE, car park at road end, Borne au Lion, 5km SE of la Pesse

Route: direct mapped path barred – apparently via non grata. Mapped tracks SW, S then SE form the popular route.

Difficulties: some rough muddy ground, all straightforward.

Trig point: mapped, not found. Concrete stump just N of seat and cairn may be its remains.

Notes: Busy popular hill, compact summit, fine panorama, Mont Blanc dominant to W. Flying ants infesting summit Crested Tits calling in woodland. Hot and sunny. Final summit of an excellent French fortnight.
