Ascent Trip ReportUsing information gained from Greg Jagielski, I followed his route which worked out perfectly. Parking on the main road, I started up the Russell Creek ATV track, which peters out after about a mile and becomes a good quality trail. At about 2 miles in, it starts switchbacking up the side of the mountain and at three miles hooks up with another trail. From that junction to the top of the peak it is another 1.5 miles so plan on 4.5 miles with about 3300' of elevation gain. The last 350' is after you leave the Red Ridge trail and go steeply up to the peak (no trail) I found a benchmark and witness benchmark as well as a register, placed by John Vitz.
TH waypoint: 43.3390 111.2323 5750' Park off the road, plenty of parking as the road is very wide at this point.
JCT waypoint: 43.3251 111.2737 7990'
