|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||10776 ft / 3284 m|
Ascent Trip ReportNice day-hike through the northern reaches of Lake Tahoe. Started at Mount Rose ski area Trail head. Followed new Mt. Rose trail to summit, with a quick detour to the top of a waterfall and another 1.5 mile meadow detour towards Relay Peak (but not all the way to the peak). Summit to Mt Rose, and then another quick scramble over to Church Peak. On the way down, decided that I had enough time to summit Relay via the Tahoe Rim Trail. Quick ascent past the ski lift and relay towers, and then hiked back down the TRT to the Old Mt Rose Trail back to the TH. 17-18 miles round trip. Maybe 4000 feet gain? Solo hike - total hike time was somewhere around 6:30.
