Ascent Trip Report

Whole family took a visit to Lake Louise on our first day in the Canadian Rockies. Beautiful place - the scenery is almost too perfect. We made the popular hike up to the Lake Agnes Tea House. It was a surprisingly tough climb, with the main hazard being SNOW. Emilie and I initially wanted to run up to the top, but we were halted by the slippery melting snow. We even got somewhat lost off the trail at one point but had enough people around us to be able to get back on. The Tea House was a welcoming sight. A really unique experience - this place is way up there in the mountains. The hike down is nice too, with views of Lake Louise the whole way down.
