Ascent Trip ReportStarted along the jeep trail off Mt. Washington Road somewhat south of the CT/MA line. At the lookout where the path meets the Taconic Trail, I watched a bunch of hang-gliders. Then I promptly went the wrong direction, and walked a mile or so up the Taconic Trail. After backtracking, I went East past the tri-state marker up to the shoulder of Mt. Frissell at the CT/MA line. Continued across the pass to Round Mountain, and then back down to the road very near the state line. There was a bit of mountain laurel was in bloom, and I was told that it's outstanding at its peak. |
