Ascent Trip ReportFrom Versailles, Ind. (wonder how the locals pronounce it?) I took Ind. 129 south about 71/2 mi. My GPS coordinates put the hp more or less at the intersection of 129 and Brushy Fork Rd.. I parked in the lot of a run down lunch counter and antique complex. At first glance the highest spot appeared to be about where the GPS coordinates said-- an embankment on the sw corner of the intersection, but the more I looked around, not only at the intersection area but at the fields across the road, the less certain I was. I ended up walking the fringes of the fields across the road. When I got to a spot that I thought might be higher about 100 yards east and I looked back the embankment at the intersection looked higher. My GPS gave me marginally higher readings on the NE side of the intersection. Given the inaccuracy of GPS elevation readings I wouldn't make too much of that. At a minimum, picking the right spot was far more problematic than it appeared to be when I drove up.
