Ascent Trip ReportLoggers had just finished clear-cutting this knoll when I drove up. From SC107, take Tunnel Town Road to Ross Mountain Road, which eventually transitions from a paved county road to a gravel Forest Service road.
While out here, you can also bag the unranked high point of well-known Stumphouse Mtn, which is on the other side of Ross Mtn Road and nearly indistinguishable on this rolling plateau. This bump is a little higher than the ridge above the historic Stumphouse Mtn Tunnel, a couple of miles to the SE.
