|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||3872 ft / 1180 m|
Ascent Trip ReportOn the way up I was joined by Daniel and Melissa just after finishing part of my lunch. They journeyed with me for almost two hours before they headed back. Previously, there were two I came across who were on their way down after turning around at about 2500'
Snow level at about 2000'. There was a very dead/dismembered dear carcass strewn along the trail at about 1800'
I was the only person to summit in quite a while judging by the complete lack of tracks or even indentations along the trail route above about 3200' After following the trail route for a while beyond the last tracks, opted to go for a much more direct route.
By 'open country' I mean I just went up in a climbing traverse through the open (snow covered) forest. The stream crossings were fairly minor, but you had to be careful not to break through the snow into the water, particularly were there were logs at the crossing. There was a lot of blow-down and small slide debris.
