Ascent Trip ReportCame up from the Mocanaqua preserve on a cold day as well. Trail was pretty easy except for one very steep section where the trail was just about vertical for about 30 feet of elevation gain. Would not want to back down that as due to it's former life as a coal mine there is no rock's or anything to slow your descent just very fine rock fill. Nice views of the Main branch of the Susquehanna. A bit of a warning though this seems to be a very popular place for atvs and off roaders as I encountered at least 4 different vehicles on this trip. |
