Ascent Trip ReportParked at end of road from Filoti to springs. Paved path quickly becomes rough hike up dry stream bed, heading past Zas Cave. Path turns left at c750m alt, following marble seam up to some sheep pens on a small plateau. Path (marked with cairns and sporadic red way-markers) heads straight E up ridge before joining path from Agia Marina for final stretch. Lovely views of most of the Cylclades from summit. Early March trip so still snow in the gullies but perfect temps for walking. |
