Ascent Trip Report

Today was a bit of a journey, me and a group of 7 individuals attempter to climb up the tuckermans ravine in hope to summit mt washington. we rented gear from IME in conway but unfortunatly they opened at 9:00 giving up a late start. we began our hike from pinkum notch at 10, we made our way up the trail to the hut, beard left and put on the crampons for the accent. it is a trek up there and yes you will need crampons. i did enjoy this hike a lot i would love to do it again, we beard around a corner just before the ridge where it opens up and wow was it windy, checking the weather it was 2 degrees with gusts up to 60 MPH and a wind chill of -27.8 degrees. me and threee individuals made our way up to the sumit of lions head but the rest set back forcing our way back down the trail. you will nd crampons, (good ones) and mountainering boots (also good ones) and a flat iceaxe in case you tumble down the mtn. dress warm its pretty fridgid up there you are all exposed up there. and the temp does drop so dress warm and have a safe trip
